PLACES TO EAT

THE CATSKILLS ACTUALLY HAVE SOME OF THE BEST CUISINE NORTH OF NYC. YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED BY THE GENUINE HIGH QUALITY YOU EXPERIENCE. THERE IS NO SHORTAGE OF LOCATIONS FOR YOUR STAY.

The Old Foundation ($)

5371 NY-52, Kenoza Lake, NY 12750

This is my favorite spot, just a 3-minute drive away and open late. It's perfect for any occasion, making you feel comfortable and at ease. The staff is excellent, offering a wide range of food, drinks, and music. It has a cozy dinner ambiance early on and a lively late-night atmosphere after 9pm.

Cochecton Fire Station ($)

1 Depot Rd, Cochecton, NY 12726

This place is a 15-minute drive from here. The team running it is fantastic, and the restaurant itself is housed in an old fire station, which adds to its charm. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with prices ranging from $5 to around $25. They have an impressive drink list with creative cocktails, and outdoor seating is available. Even if you're not much of a drinker, sitting at the bar is cool because you can interact with the friendly staff and other patrons.

Kenoza Hall ($$$)

5762 State Route 52, Kenoza Lake, NY 12750

The lake view restaurant at Kenoza Hall is rooted in a reemergence of Old World Continental Cuisine. Chef de Cuisine Oscar Vargas & his team offer classics such as Oysters Rockefeller, Cedar Grilled Salmon, Gnocchi Parisienne and the Kenoza Burger. Indoor dining in our dining room, and outdoor dining on our bluestone patio and deck are available in season. I like to reccomend this restaurant when you are looking for a one of a kind experience. This is really a full evening out location, arriving early for pre dinner cocktails, rolling into a full dining experience, finalized with a fun walk to the lake.

Rest Co ($$$)

142 Swiss Hill Rd N, Jeffersonville, NY 12748

This place is just a minute away, right up the hill! It's a small and cozy restaurant with a bar, perfect for a relaxed evening. The food and cocktails here are fantastic, but it's best enjoyed when you plan ahead. It's the kind of place where you can sit down and end up having one too many drinks! The owner and staff are amazing, and I highly recommend checking out their Instagram and website for the latest updates and information.

The Arnold House ($$)

839 Shandelee Rd, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

This place is approximately 15 minutes away and, in my opinion, it's the original Catskill-inspired restaurant. It's run by the Foster Supply Hospitality company and strikes the perfect balance between ambiance, food quality, and variety. Due to its popularity, it can be challenging to secure a table at times. The menu offers plenty of options, the drinks are reasonably priced, and they often host events throughout the week.

Tavern on Main ($$)

4919 NY-52, Jeffersonville, NY 12748

This is another excellent location, conveniently situated just a 5-minute drive from the hotel. It offers a delightful blend of food and drinks. The establishment is open every day, except for Mondays and Tuesdays. On Fridays and Saturdays, it opens early to serve lunch. Reservations are recommended, which can be conveniently done through their website. Additionally, they are located next to a wine and liquor store, making it convenient if you need any extra drinks!

Callicoon Hills ($$)

1 Hills Resort Rd, Callicoon Center, NY 12724

This classic Catskill hotel has undergone a recent full renovation. It now boasts a full-service restaurant led by Executive Chef JP Medina. Chef Medina adds his personal touch to locally inspired dishes using fresh ingredients. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options and an excellent cocktail program. It provides everything you need for an authentic and memorable experience.

Seminary Hill ($$)

1 Hills Resort Rd, Callicoon Center, NY 12724

The Tasting Room at Seminary Hill, helmed by Chef Jack Tippett, offers a diverse menu. During spring and summer, they feature lighter fare, while fall and winter bring heartier options. The menu changes seasonally, sourcing ingredients from local farms. Their outdoor wood-burning grill is in use year-round. From snacks to desserts, each dish complements the complex aromas of Seminary Hill cider. The location is exceptional, boasting stunning views of the Delaware River and rolling hills. Additionally, they offer a variety of ciders to sample. Whether for food or drinks, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

The Stumble Out Bar ($$$)

67 Main St, Livingston Manor, NY 12758

This place is a bit farther, about a 25-minute drive, but it's worth it. They have an ever-changing specials menu alongside their staple dishes. The restaurant is run by Lily and Erin, who also run the "Walk In and Neon Croissant" in Livingston Manor during the day, which are two great stops as well. The menu includes high-end dishes, which can drive up the prices, and the drink pricing is similar to NYC style, so it can add up quickly. However, the team is fantastic, the ambiance is great, and the company is enjoyable, making it all worthwhile. They offer outdoor seating and limited indoor seating options.
